Over the weekend Vans and Pro Tec hosted the "High Standard Double Big Air". Competitors threw down in less than ideal weather conditions over 2 big jumps at the Rail Yard in Winter Park, Co. Riders sessioned the jumps in a jam format where judges Andreas Wiig, Nick Poohachoff, and Yale Cousino scored them strictly on overall style.
With the progression of snowboarding over the last five years, we've seen riders doing Switch Backside 1260's to Triple Corks on a regular basis and the level of riding is through the roof. While the progression and serious tricks will still amaze, the Hi Standard Double Big Air gets us "back to the basics" with style
