JJ Thomas Joins The Eesa Team

JJ Thomas joins the Eesa team!

After a couple seasons of flowing JJ proddy outta straight-up respect for his riding and all-around good guy persona, we put the pieces of the puzzle together and put JJ on the program full-time.  Recently we had the pleasure of rapping with JJ about shredding, the scene and other random things in his life.  As a dual-tasking full-timer between Breck and Encinitas, JJ gave us some insight to some of his favorite things.

Eesa: So what’s the deal with the dual homesteads?

JJ: My geographical pattern of migration is awesome and consistent.  It goes from starting the winter in Denver with my parents for Thanksgiving.  From there I ride the parks of summit county and compete on a regular basis.  Around the end of January and early February I start filming in the powder in Utah and Wyoming and from there take a wild car trip somewhere crazy!!  Around early May I start to shut it down and pull out the clubs and surf board in the great state of California before going to Mt. hood and then on to the south pacific and then before you know it its winter again.

Eesa:  Whoa, that sounds kind of hectic, besides the shred and surfing, what else garners your time.

JJ: Well, I’m a huge fan of retro video games like Galaga and Ms. Pac Man and when I’m not nerding out I‚m a big Basketball fan (JJ has a mad cross-over and finger-roll if you think you can step to him, trust us, his first step is deadly).

JJ’s so pumped on ballin‚ he tried to take it to the hole during a Jazz game but was intercepted by the steakneck bearing down on him just before he was about to charge the court.

JJ: I also love to golf wherever and whenever I can.

Eesa:  That’s rad, well you’ll love the Arkade and Baller sock collection we’ve got coming out next year.  So what else, any secret spots you’d like to divulge?

JJ:  There’s an epic pizza joint in Breck, you either know where it is or you don’t.  Apologies for being so vague, but it’s as good as your local powder stash, you’ve got to keep it on the DL to keep the kook factor down.

Eesa:  All right, sweet thanks for the Œtip‚.  Let’s rap this up, what’s the main reason your riding for Eesa?

JJ: I ride for Eesa because they make the softest, freshest, most functional lifestyle layering in the world.  With that being said, I say thank you and peace out to you if you‚re reading this wherever you are and have a great winter and even better summer.
