Copper Mountain, CO…February 9, 2009…Woodward at Copper, the first action sports training facility dedicated to Terrain Park and Pipe progression, announces its Grand Opening Saturday, February 28, 2009. Woodward at Copper - a collaboration between Copper and Camp Woodward – will offer Winter Camp Days, Drop-In Sessions and One Hit Wonder intro courses beginning March 1. Woodward at Copper will offer week-long Summer Camps where campers will enjoy The Barn and Catalyst Terrain Park – the summer edition. The Woodward at Copper Barn is a 20,000 square foot indoor training facility, where campers will have access to Snowflex ramps, foam pits, trampolines, spring floors and indoor skateboard features.
Winter Programs:*
A Woodward at Copper Camp Day begins at 9:00 a.m. and is a fully coached session continuing through 4:00 p.m. The Woodward at Copper Camp Day will use both the indoor features in The Barn as well as Copper’s on-mountain park and pipe features.
Campers will receive customized coaching suited to their goals for the day. Guests who have a credential for the Camp Day are invited to attend the 6:00 - 7:45 p.m. Drop-In Session. Camp Days are offered Friday through Monday only.
The One Hit Wonder is a 90-minute introductory course designed to familiarize and help guests become comfortable with the trampolines, foam pits, spring floors and Snowflex ramps in The Barn. The One Hit Wonder will be offered daily from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Drop-In Sessions last just under 2 hours and are a time when skiers and riders can use The Barn to work on individual skills and focus their training on the trampolines, jumps and rails or use the spring floor for stretching and tumbling. All apparatus in The Barn will be supervised. Drop-In Sessions will be offered from 4:00 - 5:45 p.m., 6:00 - 7:45 p.m. and 8:00 - 9:45 p.m. daily, as well as from noon – 1:45 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays. The One Hit Wonder or Winter Camp Day is required for any guest who would like to participate in a Drop-In session.
*Winter purchases will only be valid until April 19, 2009. Programming, prices and schedule subject to change. Operating times may vary, blackouts may apply. All Woodward at Copper participants must be 8 years-and-older. Restrictions may apply.

Turkey with a Side of Superpipe, Please!
Copper Mountain is pleased to announce the Superpipe is open! For the 4th consecutive year, Copper is home to the first Superpipe in North America. Copper’s Park and Pipe team, in conjunction with SPT, opened the pipe today to crowds of skiers and riders anxiously waiting to drop in.
Copper’s Superpipe will host the USSA Grand Prix, Dec 12-13, also look for the Paul Mitchell Progression Session on the evening of Dec. 13.
Skiers and riders are enjoying more than 130 acres of Copper terrain with 9 trails and 6 lifts this Thanksgiving Weekend. The American Eagle and American Flyer lifts are open from the base area, in addition to the Easy Rider surface lift, Pitchfork and Gem lifts accessing beginner terrain. The Super Bee lift is open with access from Skid Road only. Ptarmigan trail can be accessed by the Super Bee or Excelerator lifts.
Copper hosts its first Carpool Celebration Day this Saturday, Nov. 29. On Carpool Celebration Days, guests arriving with 4 or more people in their vehicle will receive hilarious bumper stickers, premier parking, great deals at Copper food courts and can be entered to win Copper season passes for next winter.
