After much debate, the long-awaited winner of the Volcom Board Design Contest has been chosen. Victor Ventura of Quinnipiac University takes it down.
The BSG BIG BOOTER LOVIN\' is a big air competition open to everyone, both guys and girls of all ages. If you\'re looking to get your name out there...this is your chance at one of the most prestigious mountains in the world! It will be held at the Golden Peak Base Area at Vail Resort. This is a judged event, with three chances to get into the finals. This competition will be webcast across the world and some major press will be on site all day. DJ Motion with Search + Rescue Productions will be there for your entertainment and the event will be open for everyone to come watch and join in the action! Registration starts at 8:30 AM at the Golden Peak base area. The cost is $20.00 for each competitor to cover the necessary insurance. The first place winner walks away with a brand new Omatic Snowboards that has won the Transworld Snowboarding Good Wood Award and Snowboard Magazine Platinum Pick this year along with a variety of gear from Dakine.
This is a picture taken in northern Michigan at Otsego. The Japanese Olympic Team was training there one weekend while I was up.
As we were sitting in the car before this two hour jib session, three cops passed us within three minutes. We finished the night with five great photos and no encounters with the police.
