Olympic Outlook: Spencer’s no stranger to the podium—she’s been winning slopestyle events like the Breckenridge Dew Tour since 2008 and was crowned the TTR Slopestyle World Champion in 2012. Her riding is smooth and controlled both on the rails and jumps and she’s got a mean frontside 720 off the toes—one of the few riders to spin frontside like that anymore. Even though Spencer spent most of last season recovering from a knee injury and wrist surgery her third place at the 2014 X Games shows the time off hasn’t slowed her down.
Potential Downfall: Spencer looks like she’s fully recovered from her injuries but she’ll need to add something more technical to her runs to beat Jamie Anderson or Silje Norendal.
