Wachusett to Expand Terrain Parks This Season!

PRINCETON, MA — Alpine park skiers and snowboarders will notice some major changes at Wachusett Mountain this winter:

• Beginners, intermediates and experts will all have their own parks.  Each park will be easily accessible to the skiers and riders it is designed for.  Wachusett will use the three parks for a series of events through the season, aimed at various levels of skiers and riders.
  
  
  • The NEW “Bump Zone” novice terrain park will be created at the top of Sundowner and will be served by Monadnock lift and Pony lift.
    
    
  • The NEW “Rail Yard” intermediate terrain park will be created on Frannie's Folly and will be served by the Vickery Bowl Triple and Minuteman Quad.
    
    
  • An EXPANDED “Look Out Mom” Super Park terrain park will be created on Look Mom and served by the Minuteman Express high-speed quad.  The expanded park will include a special “Competition Zone” near the bottom of the trail to provide training and easy viewing for spectators.
    
    
• All park users will be requested to participate in Wachusett's Terrain Park Safety program.   Skiers and riders who use the three parks will go through a Safety Training Course video designed to teach proper technique and etiquette for using the Terrain Park features.  Anyone using the expanded “Look Out Mom” park will be required to pay a one-time $5 park fee.
