Sharp edges are good for holding a strong edge for carving or in icy conditions. Dull edges are helpful for rail riding as to not 'catch an edge' on the rail. (This is painful!) It depends on the type of riding you will be doing most regularly.

Gotta agree on the dull edges for rail and park. I have sharp edges and have had a pretty hard time. I'm planning on filing my edges down on my board for hitting the park and getting a new board for my regular mountain rides.

Where do you ride? Big Bear or somewhere slushy I'd say dull, somewhere often Icey then sharpen them
