I don't know how cool I am with DC making sticks. On one hand they make some fair skate shoes. On the other they are a shoe company. It's one thing for a company to buy another in a different market; but to cash in on their trade mark name seems different. What if Vans started to make Vans Snowboards, would you buy them? They have a sick team though.

I see where your coming from when you they shouldn't make boards but I do have to give them props for putting one of the sickest teams out there I'm glad that guys like Devun Ikka and lauri came from forum because if you ask me now they have a lot more input on what kind of board that put out unlike forum where they don't get to as much

quiksilver now owns dc, so they have access to rossi and mervin board desing expertise. and dc has put out quality snow products for over a decade. they are playing their cards right by releasing boards after building the hype for years and getting a killer team

On the otherhand, quiksilver is selling Rossignol, so how much access to thier board tech is questionable. I will stick with what ive seen from experience…Most Starter companies in the snowboard industry, and other industries for that matter tend to have a good quality product until thier consumer base explodes and they have to result to uber mass production. (example how many Oldschool burton Elites or Airs do you see hanging in boardshops and resort bars that are still in great/still shreddable conditions. You don't find as many older customs or even less produced boards in their line on ebay. you'd have better luck on ebay with an elite)Back on topic. I think DC will deffinately get a good consumer market right off the bat because they are a well known brand, and have already put together a great team. They make quality shoes, why not boards? i think ill have to ride one of thier boards to be sure.
