take a look at the rome manual. I am also 6 2 and have 12 size boots. I was looking into a rome manual but i got a gnu for free so i ended up staying with the gnu but check the rome out, pretty sick jib board and was wide from what i remember

GO WITH THE MACHINE!!!

i'm 6,6 size 14 feet… 280 pounds…

it's the best board I ever bought…

I ride rails and box mostly

and it's sick for that

and it's always been one of those stompilishous boards for me on the jumps…

I always hear kids who ride forum stuff complaining about how there stuff is too fragile …

I ride a 157 at 26.5 inches wide…

i have 280 pounds to throw around on that board so it's pretty felxible for me…

sounds like your a tad smaller…

you should go for a 154…  it would be a good medium for jumps and rails…

only thing I think might be nice is if they made it in reverse camber…

(they might next year)

you might want to look into a capita…

most of their boards are already wide…

and the stairmaster (and alot of others)

might be a good match for you…

(what kinda riding do you do)

venture snowboards….28cm waist….widest board you can get.  i'm 6'4, 13 or 14 size boot, and ride there 159 helix and 166 zephyr.  they are good boards.

funny story…I'm 6'3″ at about 208 basically all muscle, and own a Rome Machine 161 and my new baby, a fresh 155 Youngblood.  So I got both yer boards covered.

I only include the “all muscle” because I think it impacts the way I can maneuver the youngblood around.

The machine is very resilient and has some flex to it, but if you're looking for a jib board you're gonna want the youngblood.  The machine is a nice wide board and is great for popping off jumps and not bad for rails, if you dull the edges.  Then of course you lose a little bit of control at speed and while landing jumps, 'specially spins.

My advice:  If you're looking all mountain, go with the machine.  If you really like rails and jibs, then get the youngblood, but be prepared to give up a little stability. I have noticed that compared to the machine 161, on rails, I feel nearly fearless with the 155 youngblood its greasy!!

yeah he is probably right…

machine is like a flexy jib board for me…

but i weigh 280…

(6,6)

so I'm able to manipulate the board pretty easily…

(i'm in decent shape…)

some one who weighs less would probably want a flexier board…

(if you got with a machine… get it short…)

norwegianprebo you weigh 280 and ride the Rome Machine 157?How does that handel for you? I am looking at the Machine and i weight about 250 and the dude at the shop reccomended the 161 which i had second thoughts about due to it being so long for a park board let me know how the 157 is for you cause i am looking fo r a smaller wide board
