Are there any resorts open all year long or close to all year long? 5 months of the year just isnt cutting it for me.

I think you gotta swap between winter-and summer-resorts, here in norway most resorts are open til may, and then Folgefonna (a glacier) opens, and is open til november, when the winter-resorts open again.

in north America there are 2 that are open almost year round. whistler in BC, Canada closes in the spring and then reopens for summer riding in june. timberline on mt. hood in Oregon stays open untill the end of aug. then reopens after a few weeks.

The Alps also have a lot of year round glacier skiing. I believe Tignes in France is one location and there's others in France, Switzerland and Austria. Just do a search for “glacier skiing Alps”.
Then again, if you're in N. America and going to travel that far, you might as well just head to New Zealand or the Andes for full-fledged summer riding.
