Olympic Outlook: As the third rider to land a backside triple cork, Seb has always been on the leading edge of progression. His rail tricks, like a backside 180 switch 50-50 to backside 180 out, are so technical they’re more common in a video part than a contest run. Add to that his backside 1440 and frontside 1080 double cork, which earned him a gold at the 2013 X Games in Tignes, France, and Seb definitely has the potential for a podium.
Potential Downfall: Seb badly bruised his ribs on a fall during the 2014 X Games Big Air practice in late January. If that injury is still bothering him come Sochi, getting those corks around is going to be painful and could slow him down.
