Round four of the Your Turn Photo Contest has wrapped up. It’s now time to select the winner for the theme “Send It” so we can announce the finalists for the grand finale portfolio battle. It’s been an amazing series for the Your Turn Photo Contest. We received more submissions than ever before and the quality of the images from these new photographers has pushed the bar further than the two other seasons we’ve run this contest.
The Your Turn Photo Contest gives an opportunity for new photographers to share their best images on TWSNOW.com, gaining their first editorial exposure, and to win prizes. This year, we’ve presented a series of four themed photo contests, each one having a prize package of a Burton photo backpack, Celtek gloves, and radio slaves from Pocket Wizard. At the end of the themed contest, the winner of each will present a collection of their favorite images for a portfolio battle. The grand-prize winner of the battle will receive food, lodging, and a spot in the High Cascade’s Photo Workshop, headed by TransWorld senior photographer Andy Wright. A very exclusive opportunity!
We’d like to congratulate Matt Berglund because his image of Kyle Anderson obviously says it “Send It” most. Matt, please email me your contact info at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will follow up with your prize package and the guidelines for the portfolio battle.
Now begins the battle of the finalists: Matt Berglund, Miika Kumpulainen, and two-time winner Roby Bragotto. Each of these photographers will have two weeks to submit 10 of their best photos. The grand prize winner will be announced Friday, May 24.
