Here’s a view at the top picks from the Your Turn Photo Contest: Night Moves
The exact ingredients to make a snowboard photo successful takes more than one might think. Many of the important factors are linking up with a rider who has great style and one that is down for the effort to “get the shot.” Then comes the photographer who needs to have great timing, experience with his equipment, and a vision for an image before shooting. These are just some of the elements and they change from shoot to shoot and from one day to the next. The more you shoot the better chance you will get at making images that catch the true attention of the viewer.
Within this gallery of images for the Your Turn Photo Contest themed “Night Moves,” you will find which photographers did link up with a good snowboarder and utilize the proper elements of photography. Their photos will stick out from the rest.
We feel the best image out of this gallery comes from the photographer Kolya Tsare who submitted a photo of Dima Rodnikov gapping to a billboard wallride in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. Congratulations Koyla!!! Please email me with your address asap, firstname.lastname@example.org, to get your new Burton photo pack and Celtek photographer glove.
Thanks to everyone that entered. If you didn’t win or missed your chance to enter don’t worry, there are still two more contests to submit your photography for. Next up is the “Spring Break” theme. The deadline will be Friday, April 8th, 2011
Get your camera and get after it! Anything under the sun qualifies for the “Spring Break” theme. We expect to see photos of terrain parks, pond skims, and slushy shredding. Be creative and have fun out there!
