Making snowboarding photos is fun, but have you ever tried going into the urban scene at night to face the challenges of harassment from cops, freezing cold temps, setting up a feature, and then waiting for the rider to get their trick dialed? Well the more than 50 photographers who submitted photos for the Your Turn Photo Contest did, and they got some rad results.
Here are the top ten photos that best represent the contest themed “Into The Dark.”
And the winner is, Cristian Scalco, who shot this photo of Federico Jovanovic.
Cristian wins a photo backpack from Burton, Touch Screen gloves from Celtek, and a radio slave set up from Pocket Wizard. Cristian, email me your address for your prize pack to firstname.lastname@example.org
Did you miss the deadline or want another chance to get involved? Don’t stress, there are three more Your Turn Photo contests which lead up to the battle royale. Each winner of the individual themes will be judged by the TWS and HCSC crews in order to announce an overall winner who will win a trip to High Cascade’s Photo Workshop. The workshop takes place at Mt Hood June 15-22. If your looking to learn from some of the best in the business such as Andy Wright, Trevor Graves, and Tim Zimmerman then get your photos in the mix for the next theme which is “White Room.” The deadline is April 16, 2012.
Submit your best powder photos of the season to qualify for the “White Room” themed contest. You could find yourself with some fresh gear to outfit your photo lifestyle and at Mount Hood this summer for the HCSC Photo Workshop.
