In late September at the Sacramento Community Center in Sacramento, California, Mountain & Surf snowboard shop, along with Sierra-at-Tahoe, K2, and Heckler magazine, presented Mack Dawg’s Decade and Standard Film’s North of Heaven-TB 7.
According to Mountain & Surf Owner Dave Sher, who sported a red leather jacket and sunglasses in the theater, it was the largest movie premiere in the world. The near capacity 2,500-person crowd had a high energy level, cheering on the NorCal heroes who dominated many sections of both movies.
Notables in attendance included Wendy Woodward of Boards ‘N Motion, Laurent Vrignant of Burton, Bob Klein of Palmer Snowboards, Kevin Jones, Tina Basich, Cory Ahtoong, and many others.
Mountain & Surf got things got started with a two-hour pre-party at the shop, where strippers served beer, wine, mixers, and food to all VIPs while bands and DJs rocked the house.
