March 8th is International Women’s Day, a global holiday that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. As an ode this special day, we’ve put together a list of some of the most memorable reads and pieces of content that highlight a few of the influential women in snowboarding. These females have left indelible marks on snowboarding, and strapping in simply wouldn’t be the same without what they’ve accomplished. As they continue to inspire and push progression within the snowboard realm and beyond, we salute them for being females we all can look up to.
Here, in no particular order, is a round-up of some of the most memorable posts from the TransWorld archives that highlight badass females. Some of these stories reflect biggest achievements, while others show a unique, seldom seen side of these riders.
This list is by no means inclusive and is simply an ode to some of the monumental moments from women in snowboarding. Let us know in the comments who your favorite female snowboarders are and why.
