The USASA has been the birth canal of many a pro snowboarder in its fifteen years as the premier amateur competitive snowboarding association. It has spawned the likes of Ross Powers, Keir Dillon, and Kelly Clark, and has made amateur snowboarding tangible to the average kid who dreams of being the next JP or Travis Rice. TransWorld SNOWboarding has been there since day one, and we continue our mission to sustain the growth of the sport and support the grassroots snowboarding program by introducing a new element into the USASA schedule.
The Trans-Am Series will showcase the talent of rising stars at three regularly scheduled USASA events around the country, culminating in a monstrous blow-out at the USASA Nationals in Sunday River, Maine at the end of March. The Trans-Am Series will bring a new, exciting element to the USASA with the “best trick style events. The overall winner of the series will be granted a one-year sponsorship from Trans-Am event partners.
TransWorld SNOWboarding will use all the necessary evils to back the series and continue to support this grassroots snowboarding program, so be on the lookout for TransWorld coverage and emails, Trans-Am ads, and USASA ads in TransWorld SNOWboarding.
