Burbank, California, November 8, 1999 – Tweaked Snowboards will debut atthis year’s Ski Dazzle Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center,December 2 – 5, Booth 628. Fine gallery art by artist and team riderMaeson Amador is featured on two of Tweakedís debut models.
In addition to showing its line of 1999/2000 snowboards and accessories,Tweaked will feature a silent auction of an original work of Maesonísart at Ski Dazzle. The painting will be created during the show in theTweaked booth, and it will be auctioned on Sunday, December 5 at 3:00p.m. Bids for the auction may be submitted in person at the booth, oron-line at http://www.tweaked.com/skidazzle.html, where you will also beable to see an hourly photo update on Maeson’s progress. The highestbidder will not only be awarded the original piece of art, but will alsowin a one-of-a-kind Tweaked snowboard using the painting’s image as theartwork on the top sheet.
“This is an exciting event for Tweaked” said Chris Stephens, the founderof Tweaked Snowboards. “Our boards are state-of-the-art, with uniquegraphics in a variety of styles, manufactured entirely in the U.S.”Stephens went on to say “we’re anxious to see the work of art that willbe created at our booth during the show. Maeson is a gifted artist witha love of the sport, and we’re fortunate to have him as part of ourteam.”
The artist, Maeson Amador, recently earned his Bachelor’s Degree in FineArt from Cal State Long Beach, and some of his work is currently on anexhibition tour throughout Southern California.
Chris Stephens, President of Tweaked, has been snowboarding since 1984when he first saw the sport on the slopes of Mt. Hood near Portland,Oregon. “I fell in love with it the first time I saw it, and I’ve beendoing it ever since,” said Stephens. “I was a teenager when I started,and although my folks did not approve of it, I used all my savings tobuy my first board. It was only natural that I would channel my passionfor snowboarding into a full-time pursuit.” In 1998, after a successfulten-year career in international marketing with a major entertainmentcompany, Chris founded Transit Industries, Inc., the parent company ofTweaked Snowboards.
