transition is happening. after nine months in the making, transition media, an action sports based youth marketing network, is now officially rolling. transition (www.transitionmedia.com) is a global network of marketing communicators, skateboarders, artists and friends who have been building brands and businesses, mostly in skateboarding, for the past decade. transition partners have worked together and individually to help build industry brands including DC, osiris, circa, adio, forum, burton, special blend, dog town, bigdeal.com, cowtown skateboards, etc…as well as corporate brands including the gap, mtv, and sony. transition partners include photographer, tobin yelland, am skateboarder/designer, aj marksberry, flash programmer/designer – nick jones, mirko magnum, stacy dye, as well as a list of respected designers, artists, filmers, directors, programmers, web strategists, and others from the us, europe, asia and australia.

the company exists to serve as an organized and focused talent pool and resource for brands and for traditional agencies. transition assists companies wishing to outsource whole or partial advertising/marketing campaigns in all areas of new and traditional media. these include, but are not limited to, strategic branding initiatives, marketing and advertising campaigns, interactive development and strategy and e commerce.

company president, joe dunnigan, co-founded the internet’s first online skateboard/snowboard shop, bigdeal.com, in 1995 and grew the company to within the top 1% of all web sites online by 2000. he also co-founded cowtown skateboards, a well known specialty skateboard retail chain in arizona, and has done consulting for skateboard.com and YMCA skateboard park initiatives.
