It’s been an intense few weeks of event coverage; X Games, Riders Poll, Red Bull’s Supernatural, and the Legendary Baker Banked Slalom. Bringing some big mountain riding to round out the event content is the The North Face Masters, which finished on Friday at Crystal Mountain, Washington with the Men’s Final. The competitors faced a little bit of all weather conditions during the event, especially the men’s field; a bit of snow, low visibility, wind, and fog. After being delayed by lack of visibility Thursday afternoon following the women’s final, the thirty-two male competitors were more than anxious for their turn on the massive Silver King face.
A three-stop tour, The North Face Masters is the first competitive snowboarding series specifically tailored to fill a competition gap in the sport of Big Mountain Snowboarding. Next stop on the tour is Kirkwood, California, March 1-4. Stay tuned…
