I can’t stress how important it is to start off small and work your way up, because hitting a hip switch is odd on its own. When you get it wired, take some heat into it and you’ll get the height you desire.

1. Approach the jump low and loose.

2. Leave the lip flat base with slight pressure on your toe edge, and begin turning your shoulders.

3. As soon as you take off from the lip, you’re thinking “no flailing.” Let the jump’s trajectory throw you¿be mellow.

4. It’s a small amount of rotation, so don’t force it. I find that if you grab switch Indy and look through your legs to spot the landing, your rotation will naturally come around.

5. Prepare for reentry. It’s pivotal to land on a flat base¿landing on an edge usually means washing out.

6. Ride away, confident you just threw down an understated, well-respected trick that will never go out of style.
