Squaw Valley, CA—This spring Squaw Valley USA is offering a Spring Pass that is good for the remainder of the 2006/2007 season. Skiers and riders can take on North America’s Spring Skiing Capital for only $129 and better yet, that payment counts toward the purchase of a full or midweek 2007/2008 season pass. The $129 Spring Pass is valid 7 days a week, and goes on sale this Sunday, April 8 at Squaw Valley’s Special Tickets office.
Spring Passholders get more than their $129 worth as Squaw Valley enjoys the latest season in Lake Tahoe. Rather than winding down when the temperatures rise, Squaw embraces the warm weather with meticulous grooming, manicured terrain parks and the Swimming Lagoon & Spa at High Camp, el 8200′. In the past 20 years, there was only one season when Squaw did not stay open into May (1989-1990 and the resort closed on April 29).
“We will stay open as long as we can offer a quality product, says Jimmy King, Squaw Valley’s Mountain Manager of 21 years. “We’ll keep it open as long as the snow allows.
Current base depths measure 96-102 inches on the upper elevations, indicating that great skiing and riding will continue into May. Spring Passes are on sale Sunday, April 8 at Squaw Valley’s Special Ticket Office. For more information on the $129 Spring Pass call Special Tickets at 530-452-7123.
