(CARLSBAD, CA), December 17, 2003–Spy Optic, Inc. announces Ken and Ann Everaert as sales representatives for the Northwest US region. Two new reps have also been added to the company’s California team—Todd Madsen for Orange County and Chad Cadam for the Inland Empire.

The Everaerts manage a 6-person rep group and have previous eyewear experience with Arnette for 8 years and Version/Velvet for 1 year. In addition to Spy, the Everaerts currently rep Podium Distribution (DVS shoes, Matix clothing and Lakai shoes) and Paul Frank.

Madsen most recently was a rep for Arnette in Orange County and has extensive experience with Oakley. Cadam worked at Dragon since 1998 as both a regional rep and sales manager. Prior to Dragon Cadam worked at Active Ride Shop.

Says Spy’s Northwest Sales Manager Sean Fleuriau, ” I am excited to add Ken and Ann Everaert to the Spy sales team. With them aboard we’ve added a rep group that has extensive knowledge and experience in selling eyewear through the core market.” Fleuriau continues, “With this team in place we can ensure our Northwest dealers will have both better service and more frequent visits.”

Spy Optic has also announced that Xavier Mora has been hired for the newly created position of European Marketing Manager. Mora will take the post starting January 1, 2004.

An avid snowboarder and native of France, Xavier’s comes to Spy with recent work experience in marketing and communications in both actions sports and eyewear. Xavier’s most recent position was Brand Manager for Arnette.

As Spy’s European Marketing Manager, Mora will be charged with managing the daily operations of the marketing team while lending leadership and direction to the Spy brand throughout Europe. This position will ensure that Spy’s European marketing activities align with the direction of the Spy brand in the US. Mora’s position will work with both dealer direct countries and European distributors to build a new cohesive marketing platform.
