Home field advantage is something that every team strives for especially when they are making a run at a title. They possibly may be continuing a dynasty of winning for several years in a row, either way you hope to pop champagne and raise the trophy above your head in front of your home crowd.  Clayton Shoemaker and the Bear Mountain Park Crew are true champions in every sense of the word as they seek to continue their championship run at the TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAm presented by Skullcandy. This season they do not have home field advantage with the TransAm Finals happening at Park City this week. This schedule change only fuels the fire between park building rivals and the end result is some high caliber parks for the kids to face off in for the last two stops of the tour.

Jon McDonald rode his face completely off with a fierce run at everything on the hill, especially the Skullcandy boom box wall ride. He aired well above the cassette in the boom box and slid across the very top of the beat blaster into first place. Veroniqi Hasson drove herself into first place by hitting the Muscle Milk parallel rails over the tower of triumph and fence pieces onto the top of the Bear Mountain stranger danger van. Jeremy Estorga kept his head in the game and his mind on his money by rolling through the Giro Helmets lift tube with ease. SiSi Cavretti took advantage of the blue sky and sunshine to jib the top of the Sanuk wave and drop deep into the swell bellow the rail. Dustin Hendrickson, was one of the smaller riders out ripping the set up, but he did not come up short on the Anon Optics pyramid rail to dumpster.  Hendrickson went dumpster diving and came up with the Pint Sized Ripper Award.

Matt Guntert adjusted his beanie and had everyone’s head spinning with his death defying antics on the Coal Headwear creeper. The Coal creeper could have been hit alone, but Guntert decided he would transfer from the tank jib adjacent to the ledge.  Oliver Dixon let the clouds carry him over the Ride Snowboards “Get Buck Wild” jump and found himself in heaven with a third place finish. Maria Thomsen took a short break on the Zumiez Couch feature, but relaxed in style as she rode the top of the couch and aired over the steps in the landing. Levi Kaseroff took a break of a different kind and literally was closed out in the close out rail next to the Skullcandy cassette tape. He broke his arm, but was awarded worst crash for his efforts.

The action never left the snow as the competitors gathered around the Skullcandy truck to listen to DJ Slipmat drop beats and eat some hot diggity dogs.  Winners took home custom High Cascade Snowboard Camp backpacks filled with Zumiez gift cards, Wend Wax, Coal beanies, Anon goggles, Sanuk footwear, Custom Skullcandy TransAm Cassette and Aviator headphones, and Giro Helmets.  First place winners were given heavy metal guitar trophies from TransWorld SNOWboarding and Zumiez is flying them out to finals this week at Park City.  Muscle Milk gave out tons of awesome prizes and 200 dollars to the raddest rider of the day.  Ride Snowboards laced up the winners with hoodies, cowboy hats, and snowboard decks.  The riders are ready for finals with top winners across the nation from the previous eight stops throwing down to see who will be crowned TransAm champion.  Jeremy Cooper and the Park Crew at Park City are looking to oust TransAm Park Building Champions Bear Mountain in what I am sure will be a shoot out at the tour finale this coming Saturday.  Can you hear the fat lady singing?
