The Ski Industries America and Sports International, a San Francisco-based firm specializing in developing international business and publisher of Sports International newsletter, are hosting a one-day export symposium on Wednesday, November 8, 1995 at the Sutton Place Hotel in Newport Beach, CA.

The symposium, titled “Going Global: Exporting For Profit,” will cover topics including the maturing Japanese market, finding and keeping international distributors, international trademark protection, freight forwarding, and international credit reports and financing. Speakers will include top-sporting goods industry executives, retailers, distributors, association representatives, and attorneys.

“Many of SIA’s member companies significantly depend on their exports,” says SIA president David Ingemie. “As a member service, we are providing the opportunity for businesses to learn more about the exporting of their goods and how to avoid the pitfalls of exporting.”

The cost of the symposium is 195 dollars per person. An SIA membership breakfast meeting will be conducted from eight to ten in the morning, followed by the symposium from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
