Portland, ME – The High Rollerz Snowboard Series, New England’s only high-level snowboard series where amateurs will compete alongside the pros, announces that Scion vehicles will be the title sponsor for its first year. Scion is a new automotive brand geared towards personalization. Check it out at www.scion.com.
The Scion High Rollerz Series will visit Massachusetts, Maine and New Hampshire with four events from December 13 through March 6. Scion, a new brand that launched in California in June 2003, will be coming to the East Coast in February ’04.
High Rollerz will draw some of the most talented young athletes in the Northeast. The competition is open to all competitors and ages. Both men and women will compete in a combination format that includes big air and rails. The top male and female finishers in the pro division win wildcards to participate in the US Open snowboard championships at Stratton, Vermont next March.
The High Rollerz tour kicked off with a pre-registration Rail Jam and kickoff party at Tenney Mountain, New Hampshire, which drew over 75 riders from as far away as Western New York State. The remainder of the schedule is as follows:
