Salomon Snowboards recently returned from the annual summer sales meeting, where we made several exciting announcements regarding the evolution of our Sales Management strategy.
The changes, inspired by a renewed commitment to offer the requisite specialization in each of our product categories, are intended to provide the strongest leadership to our sales force and retailers while further complementing the organization of our field sales team. By capitalizing on the depth of experience of select individuals currently on the Salomon team, I am pleased to announce the following changes:
Greg Keeling, currently the Product Marketing Manager for Salomon Snowboards has been promoted to National Sales Manager for Salomon Snowboards and Bonfire Apparel. Greg came to Salomon one year ago and has quickly had a significant impact on the direction of the Salomon Snowboard group. Greg’s previous field experience, as well as his experience as a retail hard goods and soft goods buyer at several specialty snowboard shops around the country provide the ideal compliment to his base of product and market knowledge. Greg’s enthusiasm about assuming this new role and his true passion for snowboarding will quickly become obvious to you. Greg officially began his new position on July 2nd, 2001. He can be reached at (800) 225-6850 extension 7427 and at [email protected]
Troy DePuydt, currently the NorCal and Nevada Sales Representative for Salomon and Bonfire will add SoCal and Arizona to his responsibilities. Troy, an industry veteran and fourth-year member of the Salomon/Bonfire rep team, brings to SoCal and Arizona a wealth of practical experience and prior knowledge of these important markets. Continuing to work with Troy as his right-hand man in NorCal and Nevada is Mike Mijangos, who will assume increasing levels of responsibility with the recent changes. In SoCal and AZ, our existing sales associate, Chrystian Hupp, and our most recent hire, Josh Vert, will both be supporting Troy.
The new CA, NV & AZ Salomon / Bonfire Sales team can be reached as follows:
We are extremely excited about these announcements, as they reinforce our commitment to provide our retailers the best support and our sales team the best leadership. Those of you who have worked with Greg and Troy in the past know of their dedication and ability. For those of you that haven’t yet worked with Greg and Troy, I am confident they will quickly exceed your expectations.
New Salomon Snowboards US Product Manager
Greg Keeling’s recent promotion to National Sales manager left some smelly shoes to fill in the snowboard department. We’re pleased to announce that we’ve found the right person for the job.
Tyler Lamotte will be moving to Portland and beginning his role as US Product Manager for Salomon Snowboards on 8/6/01. Tyler hails from San Francisco and has a long history in the snowboard business. His experience as a team rider, an assistant rep and as a former West Coast team manager, combined with his most recent work as a project manager and producer at Vivid and MetaDesign in San Francisco, make him an ideal candidate for the job. We’re super excited to have found someone who not only has the fundamental skills to do an exceptional job, but brings so many complementary talents to our team as well. His design agency experience should make him a major asset in working with our France-based, international development team. Look for Tyler out on the road this fall and winter.
New Boardsports Department Coordinator
We’re pleased to announce another new addition to the Snowboard / Bonfire team in Portland. Laura Kernan has just joined tthe team this month. With several years prior experience at Salomon, Laura’s organizational skills, and her systems and service expertise will make her a boon for our department. And, her passion for shredding should help out with the carpool effort to Mt. Hood every weekend.
In her new role, Laura will oversee and coordinate practically all of our day to day activities with special attention towards pro-active involvement with the vertical press. She’ll help monitor our marketing budget and assist with event and promotion planning.
