MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, Minn. (May 21, 2003) — Redline Entertainment, Inc., the youth lifestyle and action sports video label and division of Best Buy Co., announced today that Robert Earl Wells has been named to help lead the marketing and promotions of the company’s videos and brands.
Wells will play an integral role in new business development, direct project and client initiatives, and facilitate Redline in aggressively growing the brand’s presence within the action sports industry.

With fifteen years of marketing, promotions, and special events experience in the action sports, beverage, gaming, and apparel industries, Wells has helped build brands such as Arnette Optics, Jones Soda, Activision, and Sprite. He has been a featured personality on Tony Hawk’s Gigantic Skatepark Tour in 2000, 2001, and 2002 on ESPN and ESPN2, as well as a host on the Summer and Winter X Games. Wells has also appeared in several films, among them the Billabong surf epic, “Pickled,” and a cameo appearance in the box office hit, “XXX.”
