Rip Curl is proud to announce plans for the opening of a new flagship retail concept store on 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica.
The selected shop space is 4300 square foot with 50 feet of dedicated promenade frontage.
Known for being one of the world’s highest tourist traffic zones, the concept store will be a true authentic representation of the Rip Curl brand, and a destination area for shoppers from around the world.
“Rip Curl is proud to announce the opening of our Flagship store in Santa Monica. Santa Monica has such a great mix of surf culture, fashion and tourism – making it an ideal retail location and a great platform to raise the awareness of the Rip Curl brand in the USA, said CEO Jimmy Olsson.
Famous interior design expert Nicolo Bini will head the interior building and design, supported by Architectural Group – Maple Dell McClelland.
“The concept store will be great to educate people and tourists about the brand, and to increase general brand presence in the LA region”, said Adam Sharp, Rip Curl’s Marketing Director. “This is not about competing with our own retail partners, it’s about building the brand first and foremost, which in turn benefits everyone”, Sharp added.
The Santa Monica concept store will support the highly successful Rip Curl store at San Clemente, a stones throw from Trestles.
Rip Curl plans to open the Santa Monica flagship in December 2003 before Christmas.
