Carlsbad, CA – Rip Curl USA today announced the internal appointments of Adam Sharp to VP Sales and Marketing, and Mike Makos to the position of Marketing Director effective March 1.
The announcements are part of Rip Curl’s continued strong push to further develop the brand and grow the business in the United States.
On the appointments, Rip Curl USA CEO Jimmy Olsson commented, “Sharpy’s ability to develop and execute strategies made this an easy appointment. He is one of the key players on the Rip Curl team and will be a driving force in the success of the brand here in the USA”.
“The expanded role across into Sales will be incredibly challenging, and I look forward to becoming the glue between the Sales Reps, Sales Management, Marketing, our Product Managers, and the back end”, Sharp responded.
On Mike Makos, Olsson added, “Makos has added a great deal to the Marketing team over the past year. This is a well deserved promotion. We look forward to all he has to contribute as we continue to develop the brand”.

Rip Curl USA will unveil it’s latest fashion offering for Fall at the ASR Huntington Beach tradeshow next week, March 9-10.
