Simmons will oversee internal and external communication strategies for RSN and RSN-owned properties.
Prior to joining RSN, Simmons worked at Stanwood & Partners Public Relations in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he managed various accounts including the Outdoor Retailer Summer and Winter Market shows, and the Interbike Bicycle Expo. Simmons also brings 10 years of journalism experience to RSN, including a tenure as managing editor of the Jackson Hole Guide, one of the National Newspaper Association’s best small weeklies. His work has been published in the Denver Post, Seattle Times, Couloir Magazine and Free Snow among others.

Last August, the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show was struck by an f2-grade tornado in downtown Salt Lake City, injuring approximately 100 people and killing two. In the chaotic wake of the disaster, managing the resulting media frenzy during the crisis was Simmons’ biggest PR challenge to date.
