The second annual Pow Wow took off this week, bringing a slew of new pow and freeride snowboard shapes to snow along with a heavy crew of legends to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The event was spurred by longtime local Rob Kingwell with a goal of creating a gathering around riding new pow boards, in powder. Apart from the product side of things, Kinger’s goal of the event was to get a discussion going amongst riders, product innovators, and even fellow sideways sliders like surf shaper Chris Christenson, about the shape of things to come. Influential riders like Dale Rehberg, Roan Rodgers, Andy Hetzel and Jeff Grell came out of the woodwork to join local rippers and industry dorks. Things kicked off with an aptly-timed 11 inches of fresh snow, with bluebird sun the rest of the week. Here’s a gallery of some select decks we rode during the event.
