Origins World Premiere Recap and Gallery

TransWorld SNOWboarding‘s World Premiere of ORIGINS Photo Recap

Photos: Jeff Brockmeyer

Getting to share your hard work with a solid crew of your friends, co-workers, and more is one of the best feelings. That was certainly the case this Thursday, as we presented our fifth full-length snowboarding film, Origins, to the world at the Belly Up in Solana Beach, California.

The combination of the awesome venue and variety of cold beverages available ensured everyone had the most prime viewing experience. Take a look at the photo gallery to see what went down, and if you happen to be in Denver this weekend, stop by to catch a full viewing of the movie at Snowboard on the Block, this Saturday, September 12. Until then, you'll just have to wait for the film to drop on Vimeo On Demand September 28.

The movie features full parts from 15 riders and a look into the people, places, and spots that influenced their riding most. This is only the first half of the Origins project so stayed tuned for mini-documentaries on each location in the film, covering the rise of freestyle in each region.

About Origins:

KNOW THE PAST, SEE THE FUTURE

With TransWorld SNOWboarding's fifth feature film Origins, we set out to find the roots of freestyle snowboarding at five locations around the globe. On our list: The Alps, France; Hokkaido, Japan; Quebec, Canada; Whistler, Canada; Mammoth, USA. In each place, we sought the pioneers that shaped the local scenes and inspired the generations that followed. We strapped in alongside them, listened to the stories of how we got to where we are today.

You can see that in the riders who signed on to this journey with us. The riders who are adding their own stories to what the pioneers created.

Featuring:

Japan: Kazu Kokubo, Kohei Kudo, Teddy Koo
France: Arthur Longo, Victor Daviet, Victor De Le Rue
Whistler: Rusty Ockenden, Matt Belzile, Chris Rasman
Quebec: Frank Bourgeois, Jason Dubois, Jeremy Cloutier
Mammoth: Kimmy Fasani, John Jackson, Eric Jackson
