Vancouver, BC — As the snowboarding industry gets set for the slow summer season, Option-NFA has been hard at work preparing their next seasons: NFA Spring/Summer and Winter 02/03. Here’s what’s new at Option-NFA.
NEW NFA Spring 02 website is now up and running! Designed by Elias Castson of thefresh.ca, This highly creative website features the new NFA Spring 02 streetwear collection for both men and women, a team page (featuring NFA pro and grassroot skaters), a photo gallery, the NFA skate ad campaign, a page dedicated to the NFA Streetbuster Skate Jam and a dealer finder.
The new NFA Spring 02 site is just a piece of the newer and more diverse web template, which also features a countdown clock (counting down seconds and days to the new Option-NFA 02-03 Winter site), a link to the Option-NFA 01-02 site, a video clip for the new Alterna Action films “Breaking Ground” (proudly sponsored by Option Snowboards and NFA Board Gear) and the new Option-NFA Chat room. The Chat Room is a site dedicated for riders to chat with their favorite Option-NFA pros, fill out surveys, look at exciting industry and company news, as well, chat with fellow riders from all around the world. The Chat Room has only been active for a month now, but there has been numerous interesting conversations going on, so stop by when you get a chance! To access the new site and the chat room, go to http://www.option-nfa.com.
In case you haven’t heard, the Option team won the recent Transworld Team Challenge at Snow Summit on March 26-28. Congratulations to Chad Perrin (Team Manager) and Option riders Carsten Bahnson, Travis Williams, Jeff Keenan, and Kevin Sansalone.
In other team news: Joni Makinen, not your average contest rider, won $10,000 US at a recent slopestyle event in Japan (Slopestyle Japan). Congrats to Joni! Would you shave that damn beard already!
In other news, Option-NFA Southern California rep Mike Bishop took 1st place in slopestyle, 2nd place overall and second place in half-pipe at the USASA nationals (1st place went to Scott Liska). Pretty damn cool that one of our retailers and one of our reps are going head-to-head in competition and exchanging wins. After the event, Mike was invited by Scott to come up to the Boarderline Snowboard Camp this summer! Way to go Mikey!
Not to let the cat of the bag–but stay tuned for Option and NFA’s new bag program, due to hit retailers this summer!
Well that’s it for now. It may be spring right now, but there is plenty of snow still left on the hill here in BC. If anyone is coming into town in the next little while, be sure to give us a ring, we’d love to go riding with you, or even take you on a tour of the factory.
