Northstar-At-Tahoe Adds New Quad

Northstar-at-Tahoe is busy this summer preparing for the installation of a high-speed quad chairlift that will access 200-acres of new terrain for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Lookout Mountain will include four advanced runs, a vertical drop of 1,200-feet, and will feature the steepest terrain at Northstar. The area will also be equipped with snowmaking capabilities. The new runs, Prosser, Stampede, Boca, and Martis, are named after four reservoirs visible from Lookout Mountain.

Lookout Mountain and the new chairlift will be open for the 2000-2001 winter season. This is Northstar’s biggest terrain expansion, 200-acres, since the opening of the Backside in 1983.
