Favoured Gretchen Bleiler and her fellow countryman Tommy Czeschin havewon the second-to-last Halfpipe contest of the NOKIA Snowboard FIS WorldCup 2005/2006. At Lake Placid, the Silver medal winner of the WinterOlympics 2006, Gretchen Bleiler, secured the victory in the ladies’ final with anoutstanding first run (47.2). Manuela Laura Pesko came in second with 42.6points. Due to the second rank, the Swiss rider already took the HalfpipeWorld Cup title prior the finals at Japanese Furano. Paulina Ligocka (POL)jumped on the third spot (37.1) and thus relegated Clair Bidez (USA) to thefourth rank by a lead of 0.1 points.

On the men’s side, Tommy Czeschin celebrated his careers sixth World Cuptriumph earning 44.1 points. German Jan Michaelis who placed second 0.8points behind of the winner enlarged his lead in the Halfpipe World Cup.Takahiro Ishihara from Japan rounded out the podium as third (40.4).
