Rolle, Switzerland: January 18, 2004, For the past 20 years Nidecker Snowboards has been producing some of the most advanced boards on the market. “The product speaks for itself when you ride it!” is what Craig Pedemonti the owner of The Cutting Edge in Berlin CT has to say about the gear. Nidecker has long been known as one of the leaders in hardgoods development. Now Nidecker is taking that knowledge and applying it to their new freestyle line, NDK. NDK is a series of boards ranging from entry level to high-end; jib sticks to high performance big mountain freestyle decks.
“The industry standard of core brands is made up of products that rely on expensive marketing campaigns for sales. Most of these brand’s product can’t stand up on their own.” Remarked Justin Mcguire, Nidecker’s Rocky Mountain rep. “You see these brands come and go, they don’t retain repeat customers.” Nidecker is brand that doesn’t rely solely on marketing or a trendy image. It relies on the product to do the talking.
NDK was created by Nidecker’s Thiery Kunz, who has composed a young team of riders including Travis Robison of the U.S. The NDK line is composed of 4 different models. A soft twin-tip jib board “The Score”, a stiffer twin tip board “The Advanced”, the tried and true all mountain directional freestyle board “The Smoke”, and finally the high end big mountain freestyle board “The Diablo”. Each board is designed to meet the needs of any level rider from urban jibbers to back country freestyle.
Nidecker will unleash this new line at Booth # D619 at the SIA show in Vegas. Nidecker Snowboards has been producing some of the most advanced snowboards on the market for 20 years. They are committed to the sport of snowboarding, and will continue to research and develop technologically advanced hardgoods for the next 20 years.
