Nike ACG announced the addition of Mike Michalchuk to its snowboard team. The 1999/2000 U.S. Snowboard Team announced that World Cup Halfpipe Champion Tricia Byrnes and former World Giant Slalom Champion Rider Sondra Van Ert were joining the team. Also joining the team for 2000 is former World Championship Medalist Lisa Kosglow.
