Burton Snowboards announced today that Chris Mask has been hired as the Testing Supervisor for Hardgoods. In this position Mask will oversee the various aspects of hardgoods testing including Burton snowboards, boots and bindings. He and the testing coordinators work directly with Burton team riders through round table discussions and on-snow testing to manage feedback and development of Burton’s hardgoods product line. Mask will also work with Product Managers and R&D to further develop products in the line.

Mask began his professional career at Burton Snowboards at RED Corp. as Director of Sales and Marketing, a position he held since 1998. As Director of Sales and Marketing at RED Corp. he expanded the RED product line into three categories: Impact protection gear, 457 backcountry equipment, and TNT tuning and waxing products.

Prior to joining RED Corp., Mask hailed as the creator of Original Sin Snowboards and is still widely known as the man who brought fine art to the snowboarding canvas. His on-snow experience and dedication to the sport will undoubtedly play an essential role in his new position at Burton Snowboards. Chris has been riding since 1979 and lives in Stowe, VT with his wife and their three daughters.
