Vancouver, BC ¿ Preparations are well under way for the Kokanee Boardercross® North American Championships at Vancouver’s Mount Seymour February 22-24. The three-day event will showcase the ultimate in Boardercross racing with top Canadian & International pros and ams competing for a $25,000 cash prize purse.

“Our goal is to have an exciting, safe and fun course,” says Event Chairman and Peak Productions’ President Erik Kalacis. “We’ve moved it back to Northlands, the original site of the Kokanee Boardercross, and lengthened it by 250 meters with the finish at the base of the Mystery Chair. Seymour has had a good snowfall lately, with more expected, which is great for course-building.”

Since it’s inception in 1991, Boardercross racing has fast become the world’s premier snowboard competition. Invented and developed on the West Coast, the sport features riders racing head-to-head, six at a time, down a course laden with jumps, banked turns, whoops, rollers and more!
