Canoga Park, Calif.– June 28, 2002) — Sportinc Corporation is very pleased to announce its formation as a global manufacturer and wholesaler of branded snowboards and a diverse assortment of sporting goods.
Sportinc was created through the acquisition of the assets from Jaysport International Inc. Sportinc is a wholly owned subsidiary of E & S International Enterprises, Inc. (“ESI) All domestic and international sales are handled through Sportinc’s head office in Canoga Park, CA. Canadian distribution is handled through the Sportinc office in Toronto, Canada and EU distribution is handled through the Sportinc office in France. Sportinc is the sporting goods subsidiary for ESI and will utilize the strong capital resources of ESI and its efficient logistical operations.
Sportinc is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of four brands of snowboards and related accessories. In addition, the company has established a profitable niche in the purchase and sale of off-price and clearance sporting goods merchandise, such as exercise equipment, bicycles, golf equipment, scooters, footwear and other related sports accessories.
The founder of Jaysport, Jay Joffe, has been hired as the President of Sportinc. Jay has a great deal of experience in the snowboard industry and has great relationships with sporting goods retailers across North America. Jay founded Jaysport in 1994 and was one of the founders of Ride Snowboards, which became the first public snowboard company and remains one of the top industry brands. The synergies created by the formation of Sportinc are expected to dramatically increase the revenue and profitability of the business through reduced expenses and the leveraging of ESI’s customer base.

The four primary snowboard brands that Sportinc distributes are: Atlantis, a top line professional snowboard line; Type A, a premium line sold to specialty shops; Division 23, a premium line sold to both specialty shops and larger regional and national sporting goods retailers; and Kemper, a high quality, high value line distributed through mass market retailers. All brands are complemented by a full line of boots and bindings, as well as special apparel items.
