This summer TransWorld SNOWboarding met up with Jake Olson Elm in San Pedro Ca. on the set of Fuel TV’s “Built to Shred.” The crew was filming for a title sequence to introduce a new season of the show. It was Jake’s 3rd appearance with Jeff King and the Built to Shred crew. “ I assumed it was going to be big stuff and definitely out of the ordinary”, said Jake.

That indeed was the case. The opening scene featured Jeff King, the shows host and stuntman, skateboarding through Angels Gate Park, while sipping on his cup of coffee. Suddenly he gets bucked off his skateboard when one of his wheels locks up on a crack in the sidewalk and his coffee cup shatters on the ground. Once Jeff comes to, he focuses the pieces of the coffee cup, and masterminds the construction of it’s pieces to shred on. Once the giant coffee cup comes to life, he invites Jake Olsen Elm to snowboard and Mike Clark to jump his bike over it.

Have a look at the behind the scenes photos posted below to get an idea of the wild creation that Jeff King came up with for this title sequence of “Built to Shred.”
