In an announcement made recently, Head Snowboards will be moving its office from Massachusetts to Salt Lake City, Utah. Head Snowboards had previously been located in the Head Tyrolia Wintersports offices in Byfield, Massachusetts. That office is now moving to Connecticut, and it was a good time to relocate the snowboard offices as well.

Davy Kammer, Head Snowboards General Manager, is originally from Utah and is excited about getting back to the land of powder. “We’re moving the office to Salt Lake to tap into new talent, focus on West Coast sales support, and get back to riding some pow,” he says.

According to a financial report released in late February, Head saw worldwide increased sales in all its wintersports product categories (skis, boots, bindings and snowboards), but its snowboards performed particularly well, growing revenues by over 32% in the year, compared to ski boots growing at 7.8%, and skis growing at 6%.

Head is a global manufacturer and marketer of sporting goods, primarily in skiing, tennis and diving equipment and accessories. Its brand portfolio includes Head (ski and boots, snowboard equipment, tennis and squash racquets); Penn (tennis balls and racquetball balls); Tyrolia (ski bindings); and Mares and Dacor (diving equipment). For the year ending December 31, 2002, the company posted a gross profit of $154.1 million.
