Burlington, VT (July 21, 1999) – Gravis Footwear announced that its Spring/Summer 2000 product line will launch September 1999. The footwear market is constantly changing, and while many settle for what has worked in the past, the Gravis development team of professional riders continues to keep Gravis designs updated and focused on their changing interests. The result is a completely updated Spring/Summer 2000 collection that includes four new models.
While the product line continues to evolve, Gravis remains committed to its benchmark objectives of providing comfort, function, and quality.
The new models of the Spring/Summer 2000 line all feature warm weather styles ranging from an open slide (the Merc Slide) to three lightweight, low-cut, lace shoes (the Tarmac Low, the Kona Low, and the Index Low).
Merc Slide – The Merc Slide is our development team1s spin on a warm-weather classic. The Merc is a casual sandal designed with comfort and stability in mind. The Merc1s specially designed footbed channels moisture to avoid foot slip, and possesses a heel cradle and full arch support to anchor the foot. Its critical zone rubber sole reduces weight while increasing traction and durability.
Tarmac Low – The Tarmac is a functional classic with a thin profile out-sole. Breathable and water- resistant, the Tarmac1s leather upper has air-flow side and toe panels for ventilation. Its moisture wicking lining increases breath-ability, and its gum rubber zone sole offers high traction.
Kona Low – The Kona is vented, cushioned, cool, and comfortable no matter how hot it gets. The Kona possess an athletic style that is constructed with mesh to vent moisture and heat, and has a unique sole that features flex zones in the forefoot for a more natural flex.
Index Low -The Index features all the lightweight comfort and cushioning of a running shoe in a clean, casual style. Constructed with a breathable and water resistant leather upper, the Index1s moisture wicking lining increases breath-ability, and its mid-sole wrap resists scuffing and improves lateral stability. In addition to Gravis1 new models, the entire product line, including all of the Fall 1999 styles, has been updated to feature all new colorways, lighter-weight materials, and increased venting for spring and summer.
The Spring/Summer 2000 line consists of an equal number of men1s and women1s designs. The line will be shown to dealers and media in September 1999, and will be available in select retail stores beginning February 1st, 2000.
