Gravis Footwear is pleased to announce two new members to our Product team. Both hailing from California, Johnathan Fishbein and Douglas Davidson bring extensive knowledge from their respective backgrounds in product development within the boardsports industry.

Johnathan Fishbein now assumes the role as Product Developer for footwear. As Product Developer, he will coordinate design and function with our manufacturing and development facilities. Previously, Johnathan worked at Vans where he was product developer for the Snowboard boots and Pro-Tec lines. “Jonathan brings technical development experience to the Gravis Product Team along with years spent fit and wear testing at both Retail and Product levels.” Says James Fisher, Gravis’ Footwear Development Manager. It is sure to be an easy transition back to the snowy Northeast for Johnathan, a former New Hampshire native.

Douglas Davidson will take lead of the Product Manager position for Gravis’ Bag line. In Gravis’ expanding and diverse line of luggage, backpacks, women’s bags and accessories, Doug will manage the design and development aspects-ensuring the quality and style while staying true to the Gravis brand.

Most recently, Douglas worked at Brut District Design in Newport Beach, California, where he held dual roles as President and Product Designer. There he designed for No Fear, Spy Optics, and Subfreakie. Before BDD, Douglas worked at Quiksilver where he was the Accessories Designer for the Snow and Sportswear. Anne-Marie Dacyshyn, Business Unit Director for Gravis is excited to have him onboard at a time where they plan to aggressively build the business. “We are confidant that with his skills and experience, Douglas will play an integral part in helping to build and progress our bag category.”
