Team Ogio Adds Another Snow Master to the Program
BLUFFDALE, Utah (March 24, 2004) — In an effort to build up the best snow team in the field, OGIO has recruited another mad jibber to shred under the OGIO alias…George Oakley.
Oakley is recognized throughout the industry for his authentic style and ability to push his skills to the limit every time he rides. Oakley has been featured in films such as “Art Official” and “Vivid”, and is no stranger to competitions. Oakley took third at the first Vans Triple Crown Slopestyle in ’02, first in the Pipe2Pipe Jib at Windell’s, first at the Park City Jib Exhibition in the 2003 U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix, and first in the Vans Triple Crown Slopestyle last month in Tahoe. Along with his most recent win; Oakley pocketed a highly coveted invite to the prestigious Arctic Challenge in Norway next month where he’ll put his skills to the test against the best riders in the world.
“He’s such a good guy and just plain rips on a snowboard,” said OGIO Snow Team Manager Nate “Pouch” Gauthier. “I’m stoked to have George as part of the Ogio family. He’s a serious asset to the snow program.”
