SEATTLE, January 23, 2004 — Dragstrip Design is excited to announce Luke Fryer as our new Senior Industrial Designer. Making the big move from sunny Los Gatos, CA, Luke leaves his ID position of 5 years with Specialized Bicycles to begin working with Dragstrip.
Dragstrip recently adjusted their internal structure to accommodate growth in the business “This is a new and different position for Dragstrip, developed to help us reach our vision of a higher level of design work and expertise we feel our clients deserve says Jane Mauser, Marketing and Operations Manager. Luke will be heading up our ID work as well as a new model shop.
Luke has been with Specialized Bicycles for the last 5 years where he has worked closely with developers and engineers to design bike frames, components, accessories, footwear, bags and helmets. He also has vast experience in fabrication of prototype models and parts, as well as experience in collaboration with Doctors and Sports Medicine specialists to create better ergonomics and higher performance action sports products. With his many qualifications and years of experience across several industries Luke plans to work and grow with Dragstrip. And, plans to always keep his personal goals in sight ” to create wonderful useful products that have a life, and enable me to have one as well.
