It’s a rare occasion when DC adds a rider to the snow team—rare because that rider has to have both the skills and personality to match both the team and DC. One of those rare moments has occurred. It’s with great pleasure that DC announces the addition of Nate Bozung to the team. Nate joins Todd Richards, Travis Rice, Travis Parker, Scotty Wittlake, Josh Dirksen and Eddie Wall on one of the most talented teams in snowboarding. He’s repping more than DC’s boots and shoes, however—Nate is the first rider to represent DC Outerwear. The gear is clean, stylish and technical, just like Nate.
Nate’s been praised by many as one of the most progressive freestyle riders out there. He’s had footage in Nixon’s Jibfest and Forum’s True Life, among other videos. In 2002, he won Red Bull’s “Heavy Metal” rail contest in NY—and the 21-year-old is just getting started. Nate came up riding in Utah, but is currently spending his summer shuttling between his girlfriend’s house in San Clemente and Todd Richards’ house in Encinitas. “He owes me four grand! says Todd, “Despite that, he’s more focused and motivated than I’ve ever seen him.
When snow falls, however, Nate’s moving back to Utah. DC snow team manager Brian Botts adds: “Nate’s really charismatic and talented, which is a rare package in snowboarding today. He has the smoothest style, and he skates really well, too. His skate skills translate to his snowboarding. Nate’s other sponsors include Technine boards and bindings, Electric, and NEFF Headwear.
