Denver, CO — May 9, 2003…Colorado Ski Country USA and the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association announced today that the two organizations are joining forces to produce the official 2003-2004 “Colorado Winter Vacation Planner”.

The new magazine project will combine CSCUSA’s Winter Journal and the CH&LA & Colorado Activities Center Winter Vacation Planner into one comprehensive winter magazine that will promote Colorado’s 24 ski resorts and 550 lodging properties throughout the state. The magazine will be distributed in key Colorado destination markets, at the Colorado Welcome Centers, at the major fall and winter consumer ski and vacation shows and at Denver International Airport on Concourse B.

“We could not be more pleased with this partnership. The Colorado Winter Vacation Planner allows us to create a perfect alliance with a very important component of our business, the lodging industry,” said Rob Perlman, President and CEO of Colorado Ski Country USA. “Our distribution is targeted to get the guide in the hands of our core destination customers and it will be the definitive source for Colorado’s winter visitors.”

Ilene Kamsler, President of the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association agreed. “It makes so much sense when two vital tourism segments can work together, the partnership will allow us to provide substantially more value to our respective memberships and the all important consumer”, said Kamsler.

The official Colorado Winter Vacation Planner will be produced by Mike Campbell of the Colorado Activities Center which is based in Summit County and will hit the marketplace August 1, 2003.
