Where do you ride most of the time?
There’s a place around the corner from my house called Snow Valley. It’s great, huge parks, and it’s usually not crowded.
What type of terrain do you like best?
I ride parks the most because that’s about all Southern California has. But when I get some pow-pow I’m stoked.
I’ve heard of some unusual backcountry stuff that you ride.
Yeah, there’s an old dump in the back of a lumber yard. Stuff like that. Really intense, brah.
Where’s one spot you would love to ride?
Somewhere across the sea. I want to experience the world.
What are some of your plans for the upcoming season?
To travel the world snowboarding, do some contests, but most of all to just ride and have a good time.
What kind of contests?
Fun ones with jumps-big air, slopestyle. I’m just now getting more into halfpipes, so maybe some of those, too.
How is your halfpipe riding coming along?
I would say good, I’ve been real stoked on it. I took a trip to Hood this summer.
What are your goals in snowboarding?
I would love to get to the point where my name comes up when people are talking about hero snowboarders. Maybe one day I can tell my kids that I made it to the top of snowboarding.
I’ve heard you have your own Web site. What’s up with that?
It’s cool, man, my dad does it. It’s just a rad thing. You know, it’s the computer generation.
What will you do when you retire from snowboarding?
I would love to go to school and learn to fly a helicopter. Maybe travel the world working on a cruise ship with my beautiful wife. Maybe race-car driving, I just don’t know.
